Fortex-700 is a booster sensitive explosive delivered from mixing Anfo with emulsion, and it can be used safely in all types of blasting operations. Due to high volume of gaseous products of detonation, it creates an efficient thrust on rock formation. It is water resistant and has higher density compared to water, as a result it sinks and replaces the water at the bottom of hole. Soft form of the explosive enables complete filling the bottom of hole, where the rock breakage is most difficult, and therefore, resulting in better fragmentation and higher rock yield per blast. Fortex-700 can be initiated by a suitable sized cartridge of Fortex or Fortex Max.
